Roadwork begins at Route 19, Little Creek Road in Zelie

Work is underway near the intersection of state roads Route 19 and Route 3025, known as Little Creek Road, in Zelienople, PennDOT said Wednesday in a press release.

This project is intended to improve motorist safety at the intersection, according to PennDOT. The project is to include roadway improvements, signal installation and other miscellaneous construction along Route 19, Little Creek Road, Mercer Road and Wise Road.

The construction affects Route 19/Route 3025 from approximately 0.6 miles north of Zelienople Borough to approximately 0.1 miles south of the Lancaster Township line.

Gulisek Construction is completing this $3.8 million project, which is estimated to continue through the fall.

Work on this project will be in accordance with Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and Pennsylvania Department of Health guidance and a project-specific COVID-19 safety plan.
