Joyce A. Whitmire, 64, of Greenview Gardens Apartments died Sunday at her home.

Born March 25, 1941, in Butler, she was a daughter of the late James C. and Mary Heasley Gilliland.

She retired from Kmart in Butler in 2003 after 21 years. She also had worked at Union Carbide in Girard, Ohio, for 15 years. As a young woman, she had worked at Magnetics for a short time.

She was Roman Catholic.

Surviving are a brother, Gary G. Gilliland of Chicora; two sisters, Mrs. James (Pat) Reges of East Butler and Mrs. Floyd (Marcia) Zang of Chicora; eight nieces and nephews; 12 grandnieces and grandnephews; and numerous aunts and uncles.

WHITMIRE - Friends of Joyce A. Whitmire, who died Sunday, June 12, 2005, will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at GEIBEL FUNERAL HOME, 201 E.
