John Charles Kuli

John Charles Kuli of Cranberry Township died Sunday.

Mr. Kuli served in the U.S. Army from 1943 to 1946. He was a sergeant in Company G of the 271st Infantry Regiment that fought in Rhineland and Central Europe. John was wounded in action April 13, 1945, in Wissenfel, Germany, for which he received a Purple Heart.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 41 years, Virginia Tressa Ley Kuli.

He was the loving father of John Charles Kuli Jr. (Vickie Cary) of Oak Harbor, Ohio, Virginia Tressa Kuli of Cranberry Township and Thomas J. Kuli (Colette Sapienza) of Cranberry Township; grandfather of Jamie Kuli McIntosh (Jason), John C. Kuli III (Lori Flagg), James C. Kuli, Matthew T. Kuli and Jennifer M. Kuli; and great-grandfather of Noah M. Kuli, Allison J. Kuli and Stormy, Damon and Jaron McIntosh. John also had four brothers and three sisters.

<B>KULI</B> — Friends of John Charles Kuli, who died Sunday, Nov. 16, 2008, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the <B>DEVLIN FUNERAL HOME OF CRANBERRY</B>, 2678 Rochester Road, 724-772-8800. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday in St. Ferdinand Roman Catholic Church.In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to St. Ferdinand Roman Catholic Church or the NACE Foundation, in memory of John C. Kuli, at 1440 S. Creek Drive, Houston, TX 77084-4906.
