5:52 p.m. Saturday — Jackilynn J. Porter, 34, was arrested after she allegedly bit her boyfriend, 51-year-old Shayne Banner, on the right forearm during a domestic dispute at their West Wayne Street home.Porter, who is charged with simple assault, was placed in the Butler County Prison following her arrest.12:16 p.m. Saturday — William Lee Moran, 19, of Butler allegedly assaulted his girlfriend, 24-year-old Amber J. Valorie, during a domestic dispute outside her home on College Street.Moran grabbed Valorie by the throat and shoved her, according to a police report. The defendant fled the area before officers got there.Police about 8:10 that night arrested him on Monroe Street. Moran, who is charged with simple assault, was later placed in the Butler County Prison.
8:40 p.m. Saturday — One person was hurt when an all-terrain vehicle and a motorcycle collided on Route 58 and Squaw Valley Road in Allegheny Township. Michael A. Neupauer, 43, of Ellwood City, who was driving the cycle without a helmet, was taken to Clarion Hospital with minor injuries.The other driver, John P. Vogt, 73, of Parker, was cited for driving an ATV on the road and driving an ATV without turn signals.2:15 a.m. Saturday — A car driven by Kevin P. Shay, 35, of Kennerdell, Venango County, crashed into an embankment on Route 58 in Allegheny Township. Police said Shay was cited for a lane violation.Saturday — Police are looking for an unknown hit-and-run driver who crashed on Schiebel Road in Summit Township, causing unspecified property damage.Police said the vehicle possibly was a Ford Taurus with front and passenger side damage. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 724-284-8100.10:15 p.m. Friday — Chelsea D. Clark, 19, of Butler was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence at West Cunningham and Second streets in Butler.6:24 p.m. Friday — Two people were hurt in a two-vehicle collision in Summit Township.The crash happened when a car driven by Charles W. Brown, 17, of Karns City struck a pickup truck driven by Gary L. Neff, 57, of Butler at Routes 68 and 38 and the Route 422 on-ramp.Shirlee J. Brown, 49, of Karns City, a passenger in the car, was flown by medical helicopter to Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh with unknown injuries. Police said she was not wearing a seat belt.Neff, who was wearing a seat belt, suffered unknown injuries but did not need hospital treatment.Police said Charles Brown faces a ticket for making an improper left turn.6:49 a.m. Friday — A car driven by John T. Daigle, 19, of Pittsburgh rear-ended a tractor-trailer on Interstate 79 in Muddy Creek Township. Police said Daigle was cited for careless driving. Daniel Wojciechowski was driving the rig.6:15 a.m. Friday — A car driven by Amber M. Doller-Smith, 25, of Butler struck a utility pole along Route 8 just south of Hamilton Lane in Middlesex Township. Police suspect the crash happened when Doller-Smith fell asleep at the wheel. Police said they cited her for careless driving.9:16 p.m. Thursday — Alfred J. Ricci, 47, of Slippery Rock is accused of accidentally setting fire to a Dumpster at the Rolling Acres Trailer Park in Slippery Rock Township.Police said the mishap happened as Ricci was attempting to break down a couch so the trash hauler would take the item. He lit the couch on fire, which caught the Dumpster and its contents on fire.Damage was estimated at $862. Tri-County Industries of Grove City owns the Dumpster. Police said Ricci was cited for a misdemanor count of criminal mischief.Thursday — Jill S. Mahoney, 27, of Slippery Rock was arrested on charges she stole five men's rings and money from a home on West Park Road in Worth Township. Police suspect the rings, valued at $2,000, and $83 in currency were taken between May 30 and June 18.Mahoney was arraigned on felony counts of theft and receiving stolen property, and placed in the Butler County Prison on $5,000 bail.7 p.m. Wednesday — Dennis Spithaler, no age given, of Butler was arrested for suspicion of DUI on South Benbrook Road near West Brewster Road in Center Township.2:30 p.m. Wednesday — An unknown man drove away after his pickup truck struck a traffic barrier on Bonniebrook Road in Summit Township. The white Ford pickup was last seen traveling east on Pine Road.April 21 — A Hewlett-Packard laptop computer was stolen from a home in Sunburst Court in Center Township.
Friday — An unspecified amount of copper wire was stolen from a home on Burns Farm Road in Toby Township. The theft happened between 9 p.m. Thursday and 10:15 a.m. Friday.
11:17 p.m. Sunday — A 17-year-old Kennerdell boy was hurt when he lost control of his car and crashed into a ditch and rollled onto its roof on Route 8 just north of Whieldon Road in Irwin Township.The boy, who police did not identify, was taken to UPMC Nothwest in Seneca with minor injuries. Police said the teen, who was wearing a seat belt, was cited for driving at an unsafe speed.
5:20 p.m. Thursday — Jeffery K. Mathieson, 37, of Grove City was arrested on a warrant out of Ohio after he was spotted allegedly shoplifting June 18 at the Trader Horn store in the borough. He was cited for retail theft. He was placed in the Mercer County Jail pending extradition to Ohio.
Friday — A 32-inch, flat-screen Sony television, Xbox 360 video game system, jewelry, .38-caliber revolver and $1,300 in currency were stolen during a burglary at a Harmony woman's home on Barkley Road in Perry Township. The break-in happened between 11 a.m. and 10:30 p.m.
