Helen E. Nicklas
Helen E. Nicklas, 90, of Butler died at 4:42 p.m. Sunday at Butler Memorial Hospital.
Born Jan. 15, 1916, in Blairs Corners, Clarion County, she was the daughter of George E. Mong and Edith Gilbert.
Mrs. Nicklas was a homemaker. She also helped her husband who was the caretaker of the Brownsdale Cemetery for years.
She was a member of the Middlesex Presbyterian Church in America and was active in her church.
Surviving are her husband, C. George Nicklas Sr. whom she married Oct. 24, 1939; a son, C. George Nicklas Jr. and his wife, Rita, of Afton, Va.; a daughter, Susan Nicklas of Butler; two granddaughters, Lisa Marie Lowman and her husband, Stace, of Virginia Beach, Va., and Laura Ann Nicklas of Laguna Beach, Calif.; and two great-granddaughters, Mariah Christine and Skyler Jean Lowman, both of Virginia Beach.
A sister, Mrs. Thelma Diamond of Rouseville, Venango County, and a number of nieces and nephews also survive.
She was preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters.

North St. Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home with the Rev. Kevin Bowen, her church pastor, officiating.
