Butler Police11:54 p.m. Friday — Daniel A. Stufft, 34, of Garland, Texas, was charged with DUI and accidents involving damage to attended vehicles after the car he was driving allegedly struck another vehicle at the intersection of South Main and West Brady streets, then fled the scene. The driver of the vehicle that was struck was not injured and allegedly identified Stufft as the driver of the hit-and-run vehicle.7:51 a.m. Dec. 18 — Someone broke into the basement of the home at 130 W. Campbell St. and stole the following tools belonging to Paul Sloan of Butler: a Bosch hammer drill, a DeWalt battery charger, a Milwaukee right-angle drill, a spool of wire, eight DeWalt batteries, 50 Milwaukee drill bits, four pass load nail guns and one case containing Milwaukee batteries, a drill and a Sawzall. All of the power tools are engraved with Sloan's name. Anyone with information should call police at 724-287-7743.

State Police, Mercer1:30 a.m. Sunday — A pickup truck driven by Nathaniel J. Yarian, 24, of Volant struck an embankment, overturned and struck a street sign along North Liberty Road near Carmona Road in Liberty Township, Mercer County. Yarian suffered a minor injury and was cited for driving at unsafe speed.12:30 p.m. Nov. 24 — Someone broke into the residence at 385 McClelland Road between 6:30 p.m. Nov. 23 and 12:30 p.m. Nov. 24 and stole the following items belonging to Dawn Seckler, 30, of Mercer and Paul Applegarth, 37, of Grove City: a Phillips 46-inch flat screen television, a Dell laptop computer, a Nintendo Wii video game system, various pieces of jewelry, four bottles of liquor and several medical syringes. The total value of the stolen items was about $2,890. Anyone with information should call police at 724-662-6162.
