4:13 p.m. Tuesday — Three people were hurt when a vehicle driven by Aric Wagner, 20, of Herman struck the rear of a car that was stopped for traffic on Whitestown Road at Fairground Hill Road. Tiffany Stempler, 23, of Lyndora, who was driving the car, and two passengers in Wagner's vehicle suffered minor injuries.

10:39 p.m. Tuesday — A large, green push broom was found on Route 422 westbound, about one-quarter mile west of Route 528 in Prospect. The owner can claim the property at the barracks in Butler Township.

8:37 a.m. Wednesday — Mark A. Michenzi, 49, of Butler was hurt in a three-vehicle crash in Sharpsburg, Allegheny County.The crash happened when the car Michenzi was driving rear-ended a sport utility vehicle driven by Mary D. Fisher, 51, of Pittsburgh. Fisher's SUV in turn was forced into the back of a pickup truck driven by David C. Green, 51, of Allison Park, Allegheny County.Michenzi and Fisher suffered minor injuries. Michenzi was cited for driving at an unsafe speed.1:36 a.m. Tuesday — Sarah M. Zeigler, 27, of McKeesport, Allegheny County, was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence of a controlled substance on Route 28 in North Buffalo Township.

Midnight Wednesday — A sport utility vehicle driven by Grant W. Cook, 67, of Mercer struck a mailbox, road sign and utility pole, rolled over and hit several trees along Route 19 in Springfield Township. Cook, who suffered moderate injuries, left the scene, leaving the vehicle behind. He faces charges of hit-and-run and careless driving.Monday — An Xbox video game system, several games and an Apple iPod were stolen in a burglary between 10:30 a.m. and 3 p.m. at a Maple Terrace home in Pine Township.

7:21 a.m. Wednesday — Ciara L. O'Donnell, 21, of Harmony was hurt when she swerved her car to avoid a deer and struck a ditch on Pleasant Hill Road near Nine Hill Road in Perry Township. O'Donnell, who was not wearing a seat belt, suffered minor injuries.5:55 p.m. Monday — A pickup truck driven by Jack D. Kirkwood, 50, of Portersville struck a mailbox along Mount Herman Church Road near Princeton Station Road in Slippery Rock Township, Lawrence County. Kirkwood drove away after the crash. He is charged with hit-and-run and careless driving.
