Sunday — The Pennsylvania license plate FXZ3247 was reported stolen from a car parked in the 100 block of Fourth Avenue. The theft happened sometime in the past week.2:21 a.m. Saturday — Paul A. Hartle, 26, of Slippery Rock was arrested for driving under the influence at Mercer and Wood streets. Police said they also cited Hartle for not using his turn signals.8:57 p.m. Saturday — A Chicora woman blamed a drug deal gone awry for causing a one-vehicle accident at Greenview Drive and Roosevelt Boulevard, police said.Jennifer Blystone, 27, told officers she was “in the middle of making a drug deal,” according to the report, when the unknown dealer “ripped her off and fled from her Jeep (Cherokee).”Blystone said she jumped from her Jeep to chase after the man, causing the vehicle to roll down the hill and into a guardrail.
2:56 a.m. Saturday — Thomas Baker, 47, of Butler is accused of assaulting an unidentified female during a domestic dispute at a home on Route 38 in Concord Township. The alleged victim suffered minor injuries. Police said Baker faces a charge of simple assault2:34 a.m. Friday — Jesse E. Speicher, 29, of Butler was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence at Route 8 and Holland Drive in Center Township.3:05 p.m. Thursday — Three people were hurt in a four-vehicle, chain-reaction crash at Route 68 and Ash Avenue in Forward Township. The crash happened when a pickup truck driven by Andrew V. Fejko, 54, of Renfrew struck the rear of another pickup driven by Hubert E. Lanier, 63, of Butler.Lanier's pickup, in turn, hit the back of a car driven by Michelle Adamosky, 27, of Butler, which hit the rear of a car driven by Gertrude Klingensmith, 89, of Butler.Fejko, Lanier and Bertram B. Holmes, 62, of Butler, a passenger in Lanier's vehicle, were taken to Butler Memorial Hospital and UPMC Passavant Cranberry with minor injuries. Police said Fejko was cited for following too closely to another vehicle.Tuesday — An unknown vandal made a hole in the drywall next to the elevator in the Brockley Building on Route 308 in Center Township. The vandalism happened between 3 p.m. March 21 and 6:45 a.m. Tuesday.5:29 p.m. March 21 — Police recovered a Pittsburgh man's stolen vehicle at Lutes Lane and Etna Road in Slippery Rock Township.2:45 a.m. March 12 — Stephen Douglas Kennedy, 42, of Slippery Rock was arrested for suspicion of DUI on Kelly Road west of Starcher Lane in Clay Township.3:31 a.m. March 11 — Justin E. Freyermuth, 21, of Cabot was arrested for suspicion of DUI after his car struck a utility pole along Route 356 near Franklin Drive in Winfield Township.
7:06 p.m. Saturday — A pickup truck driven by Jerimiah J. Huston, 17, of Sarver and a car driven by Judith A. Geist, 41, of Cabot collided on Second Street near Mulberry Way in Freeport. Police said Huston was cited for a stop sign violation.12:05 p.m. Saturday — Four people were hurt when a pickup driven by Madison Krug, 17, of Leechburg and a car driven by Paul A. Grafton, 71, of Worthington collided at Route 422 and Claypoole Road in West Franklin Township.Injured were both drivers, Brianne L. Sofaly, 15, of Vandergrift, a passenger in the pickup, and Karen Grafton, 66, of Worthington, a passenger in the car. All four were taken to ACMH Hospital in Kittanning with minor injuries. Police said Krug was cited for a traffic signal violation.7 a.m. Friday — An 82-year-old Ford City woman lost control of her car after suffering an unknown medical problem, which caused Douglas C. Popovec, 42, of Slippery Rock to swerve his pickup to avoid a head-on crash on Route 422 in Kittanning Township.While the head-on collision was avoided, another pickup driven by George F. Verner, 52, of Worthington, was unable to stop before hitting the back of Popovec's vehicle.The driver of the car, Martha V. Sellers, was taken to an undisclosed hospital for treatment of her condition. Police said no charges were filed in the accident.
Sunday — Someone broke into two vehicles at the Arby's parking lot in the Pine Grove Plaza, Pine Township. About $200 worth of property was stolen from one car belonging to a Grove City man and $100 in items from the other car owned by a Grove City woman. The thefts happened between 7 a.m. and 3 p.m.
7:03 p.m. Sunday — A car driven by Xavier W. Folino, 68, of Portersville and a pickup truck driven by Heath Fabean, 35, of New Castle collided at Route 422 and Stone Drive in Slippery Rock Township, Lawrence County. Police said Folino was cited for making an improper left turn.
