How to help
The Jean B. Purvis Community Health Center of Butler County is a 501(c)(3) non-profit, volunteer-powered, community-funded health clinic. It is registered with the Bureau of Charitable Organizations in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
According to its website, the average patient is 46 years old, has a high school education, is working one or more jobs and does not have medical insurance. The average patient makes too much to receive government assistance, but not enough to buy health insurance.
The clinic offers primary medical care, behavioral health services, basic dental services and health and wellness education. Its services are free to those in need.
The clinic is funded totally by the community.
