3:12 p.m. Monday — Kevin Michael Miller, 27, faces drug-related charges after police arrested him at his First Street home on a warrant stemming from an alleged Aug. 11 assault in Butler.When officers went into the home, they found a baggie of suspected marijuana and a metal smoking pipe.Miller was later arraigned and placed in the Butler County Prison on $11,000 bail in connection with the warrant and on charges of possessing a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.Monday — A woman is accused of trying to send five narcotics pills through the mail his month.Police said Sophia Krapf, 21, no known address, showed up Aug. 13 at the UPS store in Pullman Square with an envelope she asked to send by airmail.But an employee told police the letter, which was to be delivered to an address in Texas, "did not feel right," according to a police report.Police said after the woman left, the letter was opened. Inside and between two sheets of paper was a piece of cellophane containing five oxycodone pills.District Judge Pete Shaffer on Monday issued an arrest warrant for Krapf on felony and misdemeanor counts of drug possession.Monday — Police charged Erin C. Torres of Butler, 21, of Butler with lying to police Aug. 18 when she accused her husband, 25-year-old Carlos M. Torres, 25, of Butler, of assaulting her during a domestic dispute at a West Penn Street home.Erin Torres' allegation resulted in her husband being arrested and jailed. She subsequently claimed she lied to police about the assault. Police charged her with false reports to law enforcement authorities.Butler Township Police1:38 a.m. Monday — Zachary Frobe, 21, of Lyndora was arrested following an altercation with a 44-year-old woman in the 300 block of Main Street in Lyndora.Frobe was arraigned on charges of simple assault, two counts of criminal mischief, and charges of harassment and possession of drug paraphernalia, and placed in the Butler County Prison on $5,000 bail.7:22 p.m. Sunday — Two oak whiskey barrels were reported stolen from South Duffy Road near Route 68. Anyone with information about the theft is asked to call police at 724-285-9500.2:10 p.m. Sunday — Stephen C. Harrison, 48, of Coatesville, Chester County, was arrested after he allegedly became combative with a police officer who found him intoxicated and in need of medical care on South Duffy Road.Harrison was arraigned on charges of resisting arrest, terroristic threats, public drunkenness and disorderly conduct, and placed in the Butler County Prison on $20,000 bail.1:46 a.m. Sunday —Christopher L. Matthews, 28, of Butler is accused of assaulting his girlfriend during a domestic dispute at the woman's home in the 100 block of Autumn Drive.By the time police got there, the suspect was gone. He is wanted on an arrest warrant on two counts of simple assault and charges of harassment and criminal mischief.

9:27 a.m. Aug. 12 — One person was hurt when vehicles driven by Robert Newton, 49, and Gina Blackburn, 37, both of Grove City, collided on West Main Street at the Salvation Army. Blackburn suffered a minor injury. Newton was cited for an unspecified traffic violation.Aug. 11 — A blue Mongoose bicycle valued at $400 was reported stolen between 4 and 5:30 p.m. from the back yard of a home in the 500 block of East Pine Street.Aug. 9 — A black Hurley purse was stolen from a vehicle parked in the 400 block of North Broad Street. The purse, taken between 6:45 and 10 p.m., contained a pink Coach wallet and other items.

10:45 p.m. Monday — An unidentified red, Ford F-150 pickup truck struck a sport utility vehicle in a hit-and-run crash at South Argyle Street and Nesbit Avenue in Petrolia.The late-1980s model pickup was damaged on its front driver's side in the collision. Shalisa Ekis, no age given, of Karns City was driving the SUV.8:23 p.m. Sunday — A car driven by Adam S. Baacke, 18, of Sewickley, Allegheny County, spun out of control and hit an embankment on Interstate 79 n Cranberry Township. Baacke was cited for a lane violation.7:38 a.m. Sunday — A car driven by Gregory E. Masci, 31, of Kittanning and a pickup truck driven by Alice J. Starkey, 67, of Butler collided at Route 8 and Mercer Road in Center Township. Masci was cited for not stopping at a red light.

4:14 a.m. Saturday — A pickup truck driven by Jaime Cartwright, 26, of New Castle crashed into a tree along Swamp Road near Princeton Station Rad in Slippery Rock Township, Lawrence County. Cartwright was cited for driving at an unsafe speed.
