The SEBCO Pool could get a makeover in the near future, according to Jefferson Township officials.

In the township’s April newsletter, it announced supervisors had voted to authorize a request for proposals for a pool feasibility study to evaluate needed renovations.

According to the supervisors, the study is needed to apply for a grant from the Department of Conservation of Natural Resources.

“Hopefully, the renovations can be done in the next year or so, if a DCNR grant can be secured,” the newsletter said.

Despite plans for the future, maintenance work, such as sealing and repairing leaks, is being completed now, so the pool may open for the upcoming season.

According to the newsletter, opening day is tentatively scheduled for Memorial Day weekend. It also noted that prices will not increase this year.
