Duane Gilbert White Sr., 70, passed away Saturday morning at Orchard Manor Nursing Home in Grove City following an illness.

He was born March 8, 1938, in Waynesburg and was the son of Elizabeth Stickles White and the late George H. White, Jr.

He was Catholic.

He retired as an ironworker of Local 3 in Pittsburgh.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, the outdoors, his Corvette and Florida.

He is survived by his mother of Slippery Rock; three sons, Duane G. White Jr. and his wife, Jackie, of Butler, Mark S. White and his wife, Colleen, of Slippery Rock and Eric P. White and his wife, Kim, of Butler; and a daughter, Sharen Hoover and her husband, Dave, of Harrisville. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Racheal, Shanea, Jennifer and her husband, Glenn, Mark, Justin, Sean, Breonna, Celina, Gregory, Steven and Ryan; and a great-granddaughter, Ryleigh.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Celine Hartman White, who passed away June 6, 1996; his father; and a brother.

Raisley Funeral Home</B>, 387 Main St., Prospect. A blessing service will follow at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with the Rev.
