Police file shoplifting charges

Trio accused in theft spree

BUTLER TWP — A suspected shoplifting trio, which includes a mother and son, are accused in several alleged thefts at the Walmart in the Butler Commons shopping plaza.

Police on Wednesday charged Holly A. Fedokovitz, 47, and her son Dustin D. Watterson, 26, both of Lyndora, and Alisha R. Westbrook, 31, of Butler in connection with the crimes between March and May.

In some of the cases, police said, the suspects teamed up to make fraudulent merchandise returns.

Butler Township Police Chief said they identified the trio after reviewing store surveillance footage.

According to police, one or all of the suspects are accused of these crimes:

- March 7 — Westbrook allegedly shoplifted seven items valued at $110. Fedokovitz returned the stolen merchandise for a store gift card

- March 24 — Westbrook allegedly returned stolen merchandise valued at $14

- May 7 — Fedokovitz and Westbrook allegedly shoplifted six items valued at $212. They returned the merchandise for a store gift card

- May 9 — Fedokovitz and Watterson allegedly took a single item valued at $74. They returned it for a store gift card

- May 11 — All three defendants allegedly stole seven items valued at $232. Watterson attempted twice to return the merchandise for a store gift card

- May 25 — Watterson and Westbrook allegedly shoplifted four items valued $147

- May 29 — Fedokovitz allegedly stole an air conditioning unit worth $142.

Fedokovitz is charged with four counts of conspiracy to commit theft by deception, three counts each of theft by deception and receiving stolen property; two counts of conspiracy to commit retail theft and one count of retail theft.

Watterson is charged with two counts each of retail theft and attempted theft by deception, and one count each of receiving stolen property, conspiracy to commit retail theft and conspiracy to commit theft by deception.

Westbrook is charged with four counts of retail theft, three counts of conspiracy to commit theft by deception, two counts of conspiracy to commit retail theft and one count of theft by deception.
