10:25 p.m. Monday — Chad N. Walter, 18, of Center Township was hurt when the car he was driving struck the back of a pickup truck parked on North McKean Street just north of East Locust Street. Walter, who was wearing a seat belt, suffered minor injuries.Monday — Police filed a theft of services charge against Jessica A. Vinroe, 24, of Butler after she allegedly skipped out of a $118.40 cab fare Sept. 13.Vinroe got a ride in a Yellow Cab from Pittsburgh to her home on Maple Avenue. When she arrived home about 4 a.m., she told the driver she needed to get the money from her mother. She left the car, according to a police report, but never returned.Thursday — David T. Hrubovcak Jr., 37, of Butler is accused of stealing a flashlight, umbrella and other items from a vehicle parked at the Washington Manor Personal Care Home on South Washington Street. Police said Hrubovcak faces a charge of theft from a vehicle.

11:30 a.m. Friday — Codey Holtman, 20, was arrested after allegedly biting his grandfather, Thomas Holtman Sr., during a domestic dispute at their home in the 300 block of Lincoln Avenue. The younger Holtman is charged with simple assault and underage drinking.Later that evening, according to a police report, Holtman and Holtman Sr. got into a shoving match and spat at one another during another dispute at their home. Both men are charged with harassment.Additionally, police cited the younger Holtman for criminal mischief stemming from a storm door that sustained about $150 damage in the altercation.

2 a.m. Monday — An unknown man driving a light blue Chevrolet Cavalier crashed into a pickup truck parked on Main Street in Lyndora, and drove away.However, according to a police report, before he left, an unknown woman in a pickup got there and picked up all the broken parts to the man's car, in an attempt to prevent police from identifying the vehicle and suspect.Police believe the man moments before the crash had been drinking at the Lyndora Hotel.A witness also told police that the woman referred to the hit-and-run driver as “D.J.” The suspect's car was last seen crossing the Picklegate bridge and heading north on Route 8.Anyone with information about the hit-and-run is asked to call police at 724-285-9600, or 911.

Monday — Police reported that someone stole an unspecified amount of money from an 81-year-old man's home on Maple Grove Road in Madison Township. The theft happened sometime since August.Sunday — Police issued an advisory that warns residents of a telephone scam throughout the county in which the caller claims to be affiliated with the Pennsylvania State Police.Troopers said they have recently received reports of residents being called from an organization that identifies itself as the Pennsylvania State Police Boosters Association in an attempt to solicit funds.Authorities stress that this is not a legitimate organization and reiterate that state police do not contact individuals to solicit funds.Police warn anyone contacted by this group should not send it money or divulge any personal information

10:17 p.m. Sunday — James Calvin Hiles, no age given, of East Brady was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence after his car collided with another vehicle at Route 68 and Seybertown Road in Bradys Bend Township. Hiles suffered minor injuries. Gary L. Howell Sr., no age given, of Rimersburg was the other driver.Sunday — A bank bag filled with $677.92 was taken in a burglary at Myrt's Cafe on Route 66 in Bethel Township.The burglar got into the restaurant between 2:30 and 3:45 p.m. after smashing a window to the supply room door and unlocking the door. The business sustained about $200 in damage.10:40 a.m. Saturday — A sport utility vehicle driven by Winifred J. Delacourt, 55, of Templeton struck an embankment and rolled over at least two times on Mahoning Road in Madison Township. Police said Delacourt was cited for driving at an unsafe speed.Thursday — Three suspects stole a .22-caliber pistol from a locked gun cabinet at a home on Mahoning Road in Madison Township. The theft happened between Aug. 24 and Thursday. Police did not identify the suspects and reported the investigation continues.

Monday — Garrett R. Weber, 18, of Grove City was arrested in connection with the suspected sexual attack of a 27-year-old woman Sept. 9 at a home in Pine Township. Police suspect the teen about 1 a.m. broke into the home on Tieline Road and assaulted the victim.Weber was arraigned on charges, including four felonies, and placed in the Mercer County Jail on $25,000 bail. He is charged with burglary, sexual assault, aggravated indecent assault, trespass and indecent assault.7:43 p.m. Friday — Cars driven by John R. Loch, 72, of Youngstown, Ohio, and McKenzie A. Corner, 18, of Slippery Rock collided at North Liberty and Country Club roads in Pine Township. Corner's car, after the collision, struck an embankment and rolled over. Police said Loch faces a ticket for making an improper left turn.8:24 p.m. Aug. 4 — Bryan G. Hoekman, 47, of Milton, Northumberland County, was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence on Interstate 80 in Wolf Creek Township.
