Cammisa 100th birthday
Virginia Cammisa of Butler will celebrate her 100th birthday with a family dinner and a party at the Butler Arbors.
The former Virginia Corcetti was born Sept. 12, 1915, in Hooversville. She married the late Hector Cammisa on Aug. 30, 1934.
She has two children, Vincent (Betty) Cammisa and Mary Lu (Ron) Steighner.
She also has six grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Cammisa is a former tailor and seamstress and worked at J.C. Penney and McCarren Clothing Store.
She served as a volunteer for 18 years at Butler Memorial Hospital and for 40 years at Sunnyview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
She is a member of St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church in Butler and a member of the church’s 55 Alive Club.
