Friday — Susan Daum reported a hit-and-run accident in which an unknown vehicle struck the bumper of her car while it was parked outside her residence at 142 Oak St. sometime in the preceding several days.6:03 p.m. Oct. 18 — An SUV driven by Eugene Clark III of Butler hit a 12-year-old boy riding a bicycle at the intersection of West Brady Street and Wagner Avenue.The boy was taken by ambulance to Butler Memorial Hospital, where he was treated for minor injuries.Witnesses told police it appeared the boy rode through the intersection without looking while he was following another child on a second bicycle.
Sunday — The rear window of an SUV owned by Sean Montgomery was broken while the vehicle was parked outside 306 E. Prairie St. in Harrisville between 1:30 and 7 a.m.12:45 a.m. Friday — A pickup driven by James Cornelius, 24, of Belington, W.Va., hit a cement barrier along Interstate 79 in Jackson Township and rolled onto its roof. He received minor injuries.Friday — The side door at Fox's Pizza on Centerville Pike in Slippery Rock Township was damaged between 11 p.m. Thursday and 10:30 a.m. Friday.Owner Michael Baptiste told police this was the fourth time his business had either been broken into or an attempted forced entry was made. Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call police at 724-284-8100.Thursday — A 20-foot aluminum ladder, a truck toolbox, a Chevy truck tailgate, a Black and Decker electric drill, two 100-foot extension cords and six copper radiators were stolen from behind the residence at 120 Euclid Road in Clay Township between 12:01 a.m. and 5:30 p.m.Anyone with information about the theft is asked to call police at 724-284-8100.9 p.m. Sept. 12 — A pickup driven by Chayne Frey, 31, of Cabot hit a telephone pole off Winfield Road in Winfield Township. Frey was not injured. He was charged with driving under the influence.
1:30 p.m. Sunday — A white man described as being in his 50s with long salt-and-pepper hair and a beard cut down a tree on private property off Sandy Hollow Road in Madison Township before driving through a soy bean field, damaging crops.11:45 p.m. Thursday — The passenger side of a pickup driven by Jason McKinney, 28, of Rimersburg was damaged when a white pickup with an unknown driver in front of McKinney accelerated on Route 68 in Toby Township, causing stones to be thrown at the second truck.Anyone with information is asked to call police at 814-226-1710.
2:41 a.m. Sunday — A car driven by Jason Kostelansky, 30, of Grove City wrecked at the intersection of Blacktown and Lee roads in Springfield Township. The driver was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence.
Friday — The doors to camps owned by James Hipple and Erin Ecklund on Dockside Lane in Bradys Bend Township were pried open between 3 p.m. Tuesday and 11 a.m. Friday.Although both cabins were ransacked, nothing appeared to have been stolen. Total damages are estimated at $220.4:25 p.m. Wednesday — A pickup driven by Richard Hazlett, 59, of Tarentum hit the rear of a car driven by Sharon Sherrieb, 53, of Freeport while it was stopped at a traffic light on the Harrison Township exit ramp of Route 28.The impact caused the car to hit the rear of a second car driven by John Augustine, 43, of Butler that also was stopped on the ramp.3:18 a.m. Oct. 17 — A mid-size SUV driven by Suzanna Walters, 23, of Natrona Heights hit a barrier on Route 28 in Buffalo Township. Police report the driver fled on foot. She was cited for not staying within the lane.
