County housing authority to get CARES Act funding
The Butler County Housing Authority is receiving $31,257 from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development’s fourth wave of CARES Act funding.
HUD said $2.3 million in Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security (CARES) Act funding is being distributed to 22 housing authorities in Pennsylvania. The amount is part of the $77 million total being distributed nationally by the federal agency.
This wave of funding comes through HUD’s Section 811 Mainstream Housing Choice Voucher program to provide affordable housing to non-elderly people with disabilities.
