KNOX, Clarion County — A Petrolia man stands accused of sexually assaulting a 5-year-old boy.

Ronald J. Snow Jr., 34, of 105 S. Fairview on Main Street, is charged with aggravated indecent assault, unlawful contact with a minor, corruption of minors and indecent assault.

According to a criminal affidavit filed by state police in Clarion, the assaults allegedly occurred while the defendant and his wife were baby sitting the victim at an apartment in St. Petersburg at least twice between Nov. 10 and 26.

Court records say the investigation began when a representative of Clarion County Children and Youth Services contacted police.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for March 15 in the office of District Judge Amy Long Turk.

Meantime, Snow is free after posting a $25,000 bail.
