12:15 p.m. Saturday An unknown bicyclist struck a minivan and rode away after the crash at West Jefferson and South Washington streets.The minivan driver, Deborah Ann Haley, 59, of Butler Township, told police she was turning onto West Jefferson Street when the bike, operated by a male and headed south on Washington Street, ran into her vehicle's passenger side front panel.
12:28 a.m. Sunday Arica Davis, 21, of Chicora is accused of hit-and-run after crashing a car she was driving into a mailbox and yard on Route 68 in Chicora. Police said Davis left the car in a nearby parking lot and fled.Sunday A green, 19.5-hp Craftsman lawn tractor was stolen between Nov. 1 and Sunday from a garage in a burglary at a Saul Road camp in Parker Township.1:50 p.m. Saturday A car driven by John Gutauskas, 46, of Slippery Rock struck the rear of a pickup on Route 8 near Staff Road in Brady Township. Police said Gutauskas faces a ticket for driving too fast for conditions. David Olesnevich, 24, of Butler was driving the pickup.9:28 a.m. Saturday Cars driven by Beatrice Favorite, 65, and Brenda Vilcheck, 37, both of Pittsburgh collided on the Interstate 79 off-ramp in Cranberry Township. Both drivers suffered minor injuries. Police said Favorite was cited for going the wrong way on a one-way road.2:40 a.m. Saturday Leah Marie Krause, 26, of Butler was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence at Route 8 and Morton Avenue in Butler.1:20 a.m. Saturday James Franklin Wooster, 36, of Boyers was arrested for suspicion of DUI on Route 108 near West Park Road in Worth Township.Saturday Six people were arrested for DUI during a late night sobriety checkpoint on New Castle Road in Butler Township. In all, officers stopped 364 vehicles.Twenty-three traffic citations and 38 warnings were issued. Four people were charged with driving with a suspended license.2:40 p.m. Friday Julie L. Lascuola, 26, and Katie L. Ross, 27, both of Butler are accused of shoplifting women's clothing at the Bon Ton store in the Clearview Mall, Center Township. Both suspects are charged with retail theft.9 p.m. Thursday A car driven by Jordan D. Miller, 24, of Saxonburg crashed into trees and bushes in the front yard of a Saxonburg Boulevard home in Clinton Township. Police said Miller was cited for faulty tires.8:55 p.m. Wednesday Earl J. Phipps, 27, of Butler was arrested for allegedly assaulting 27-year-old Brianne Kradel of Butler during a domestic dispute at a Route 38 home in Center Township.March 20 A Pittsburgh man told police that someone stole a Mercury motor from his boat at the West Park Boat Storage facility on Burnside Road in Muddy Creek Township. The theft occurred between Jan. 1 and March 20.
10:11 p.m. Friday Travis Lorenz, 21, of Rimersburg was seriously injured when a pickup truck sideswiped the pickup he was driving on Route 861 in Porter Township. The crash forced Lorenz's truck off the road and into an embankment. The truck rolled over several times.Lorenz, who was not wearing a seat belt, was thrown out of his pickup. He was flown by medical helicopter to Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh. His condition was not known this morning.The other driver, a 16-year-old Rimersburg boy, who police did not identify, was not injured. Police said the teen was cited for passing in a no-passing zone; Lorenz was cited for a lane violation.7:20 a.m. Friday Misty R. Marsh, 29, of Rimersburg was cited for driving too fast for conditions after a four-vehicle, chain-reaction crash on Route 68 in Toby Township.Police said Marsh's sport utility vehicle struck the rear of a pickup driven by Timothy M. Switzer, 36, of Rimersburg, which was behind two other vehicles stopped for a school bus picking up children.The crash forced Switzer's pickup into the back of a car driven by Charles E. Jamison, 62, of Rimersburg, which in turn struck the rear of a minivan driven by Jennifer Sharrar, 39, of Rimersburg.
