Nelson and Edna Barger

Nelson and Edna Barger of East Brady celebrated 50 years of marriage with a dinner for friends and family at Lenape Heights Golf Resort in Ford City and a Disney Alaska Cruise with their family.

Barger married the former Edna Waltman on Sept. 4, 1965, at St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church in North Oakland.

They have two children, Richard Alan Barger and Dr. Richael Ann Anderson.

They also have four grandchildren.

Barger retired as a maintenance supervisor at Indspec Chemical. He is a U.S. Navy veteran.

Mrs. Barger is a homemaker.

The Bargers enjoy golf, boating, time with family and playing cards.

They are members of St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church in Bradys Bend.
