It’s ironic that I read an article in the Eagle on Feb. 10 on the editorial page about elder fraud. After getting many phone calls for months with a Pa. phone number I didn’t answer, on Feb. 9 I decided to see who this caller was.

After saying “Hello,” a strange male voice came on saying, “Grandma, how are you?” I asked who he was calling and he said, “Grandma, I’m your oldest grandson.”

As the voice sounded much older than my only grandson plus the foreign accent, I just asked him how old he was and he promptly hung up. Guess he figured I wasn’t going to be a victim to his scam.
