6:15 p.m. Sunday — A car driven by Wanda Noll, 55, of Elizabeth, Allegheny County, struck the rear of a sport utility vehicle at Routes 8 and 228 in Middlesex Township.Noll and Kathleen Shetter, 54, of Valencia, who was driving the SUV, suffered minor injuries; both women were wearing seat belts Noll was cited for obstruction to driving view or mechanism.5:10 p.m. Sunday — A car driven by Kathryn Hempfling, 46, of Slippery Rock struck a tree along Route 528 in Brady Township. Hempfling, who was not wearing a seat belt, was flown by medical helicopter with moderate injuries to Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh.9:30 a.m. Sunday — Christopher Milliren, 35, of Grove City was arrested for allegedly assaulting Julie Milliren, 35, of Grove City during a domestic dispute at a Brady Hills Estates home in Brady Township.Christopher Milliren was arraigned on charges of simple assault and harassment, and placed in the Butler County Prison in lieu of $3,000 bond.6:49 a.m. Sunday — An SUV driven by Kenneth Spencer, 28, of Parker struck a guardrail on Route 422 at the South Shore exit in Muddy Creek Township.2:50 a.m. Sunday — Brian Thompson, 19, of Parker was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence on Route 268 in Bruin.11:50 a.m. Saturday — A pickup truck driven by Mark Sebok, 36, of Chicora and a car driven by Richard Garrard, 72, of Foxburg, Armstrong County, collided at Route 308 and JamisonvilleRoad in Center Township. The car, after the collision, struck an SUV and then a tree. Diane Gray, 40, of West Sunbury was driving the SUV.7:15 a.m. Saturday — A car driven by Ryan Bradley 26, of Butler struck a tree along Route 68 near Shannon Road in Connoquenessing Township.Saturday — A pair of vehicles were vandalized and a third vehicle was broken into during the weekend in neighboring Petroleum Valley communities.It was not immediately known if the crimes, all between Friday night and Saturday morning, are connected.Police said two windows of an SUV were smashed on Station Road near Main Street in Bruin, and a window of a pickup truck was broken on Main Hill Road in Petrolia. Meanwhile, a purse, compact disc player and other items were taken from a vehicle on Water Street near Main Street in Bruin.9:45 p.m. Friday — Acar driven by Wayne Bicehouse, 65, of State College struck a cow that wandered onto the middle of Route 8 near Route 108 in Slippery Rock Township. Neither Bicehouse nor a passenger in his car was injured; police did not immediately disclose the fate of the cow.Friday — A blue-and- whiteYamaha YZ250 motorcycle was taken Thursday or Friday in a burglary at the Herman Road home of Michael Bonefeste in Summit Township.12:50 a.m. Thursday — Dennis Martsolf, 52, of Butler was charged with terroristic threats after allegedly firing a shotgun into the air several times during a dispute with a neighbor on West Brewster Road in Center Township.Police said Martsolf fired the gun near the road while threatened to shoot Robert Hays' dogs, whose barking was keeping him awake.Sept. 25 — Hand tools valued at $2,500 were taken from a shed in a burglary Sept. 24 or 25 at the Ralston Road home of Craig Perry in Slippery Rock Township.
7:27 a.m. Saturday — Karissa Hawk, 18, of Rimersburg lost control of her car after swerving to avoid a deer on Route 68 in Madison Township, Clarion County, and struck an embankment; the car rolled over after the crash. Hawk, who was wearing a seat belt, was treated for minor injuries at Clarion Hospital.State Police, Kittanning6:54 a.m. Friday — A pickup truck driven by Justin McGinnis, 19, of New Bethlehem and fire tanker truck driven by Harold Bowser, 75, of Worthington collided at Worthington-Slate Lick Road and Route 422 in Worthington, Armstrong County.Friday — Someone drained about 500 gallons of off-road diesel fuel from a tank at a deep mine site on Morrow Road in West Franklin Township, Armstrong County. The theft occurred between 4 p.m. Thursday and 6:30 a.m. Friday. M&M Lime Co. Inc. of Worthington owns the fuel.
Friday — Police continue to investigate an Aug 21 robbery during which a 15-year-old Hadley boy armed with a rifle held up a 10-year-old boy at the Farma Trailer Parker in Perry Township, Mercer County.The suspect, who police did not identify, allegedly pointed the rifle at the younger boy and took his wallet. The older boy removed $1 from the wallet and ran off.Aug. 31 — Four suspected illegal aliens were arrested after the vehicle they were riding in was stopped for speeding on Interstate 80 in Wolf Creek Township, Mercer County. The suspects, one who gave police a phony identification, were taken to Lawrence County Jail to await deportation.
