Thursday — An unknown vehicle overnight struck and damaged a lamp post at a Windmill Road home. Anyone with information about the hit-and-run crash is asked to call police at 724-285-9600.

Saturday — Police filed assault and other charges against Larry David Stevick, 52, stemming from a Christmas night fight at his family's home on Garfield Avenue.Witnesses told police Stevick had been drinking most of the day when he became angry with his family, court documents said. He allegedly threw a glass at William Stevick and punched him several times.He also allegedly assaulted Kimberly Hicks and was "violent towards" Cora Stevick, a police affidavit said.Larry Stevick is charged with two counts of simple assault, and three counts each of reckless endangerment, disorderly conduct and harassment.

11:20 p.m. Wednesday — Eric Phipps, 28, of Butler was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence after his pickup truck struck an embankment and rolled onto its roof on Davis Road just south of Route 68 in Oakland Township. Phipps fled the scene but was found at a nearby home.1:25 p.m. Wednesday — A 17-year-old girl faces assault and other charges stemming from an altercation at a Petrolia Street home in Karns City. Police did not identify the girl or alleged victim, a 42-year-old woman, both of Karns City.The teen is accused of grabbing the woman by the neck and throwing a DVD player at her. The DVD player hit the woman in the leg. The girl also allegedly punched several holes in walls at the woman's home.Police charged the girl in juvenile court with simple assault, resisting arrest, disorderly conduct, criminal mischief and harassment.7:45 a.m. Tuesday — A pickup truck equipped with a snow plow, driven by Timothy D. Schrecengost, 48, of Chicora and a pickup driven by Sherry L. Dotterer, 42, of Rimersburg, Clarion County, collided on Main Street near Grandview Avenue in Chicora. Dotterer suffered a minor injury.

7:15 a.m. Thursday — A sport utility vehicle driven by Mary Anne Boariu, 51, of Ellwood City struck an embankment and rolled onto its side after sliding off snow-covered Route 388 near Currie Lane in Slippery Rock Township, Lawrence County.Seven minutes later, a second accident happened there when pickup trucks driven by Alfred Zehetner III, 29, and Terry R. Bloomer, 56, of New Castle, collided. That crash happened after Zehetner swerved his pickup to avoid Boariu's overturned car.Zehetner's truck slid into Terry Bloomer's pickup. Bloomer moments earlier had stopped to help Boariu.

1:08 a.m. Sunday — Cody M. Redfoot, 21, of Grove City was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol on South Broad Street.Saturday — Someone found a key and a keyless-entry remote for a Honda vehicle. The items were near a Dumpster behind Daffins Candy Shop on South Broad Street. The owner can claim the property by calling police at 724-458-7925.8:45 a.m. Dec. 22 — A vehicle driven by Nathan Hogue, 34, of Grove City struck a guardrail and mailbox after sliding off snow-covered George Junior Road. Hogue faces a ticket for driving at an unsafe speed.10 a.m. Dec. 21 — Two large bags of clothes were stolen from the first-story stairwell of an apartment building in the 400 block of Carrie Way. The bags contained an assortment of clothing, sheets and towels.
