[naviga:h3]Outing to benefit PTSD sufferers[/naviga:h3]

HARMONY — The second annual A.J. Smith Memorial Golf Outing will begin with a 9 a.m. shotgun start July 7 at Strawberry Ridge Golf Course, 135 McNulty Lane.

Proceeds benefit efforts to help veterans suffering from post- traumatic stress disorder and the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention.

[naviga:h3]Stop smoking program offered[/naviga:h3]

The Butler YMCA will host a smoking cessation program sponsored by Keystone Wellness.

The program will be offered from 5 to 6 p.m. Thursdays starting July 5 and running through Aug. 9 at the YMCA, 339 N. Washington St.

Each weekly session will help educate participants on strategies that will help them stop smoking.

Registration is required and can be made in person at the Butler YMCA or online at bcfymca.org.

[naviga:h3]Waldenmyer-Young family reunion set[/naviga:h3]

SLIPPERY ROCK — The Young-Waldenmyer family reunion will begin at 1 p.m. July 8 at Armco Park Hall, 341 Centreville Pike.

There will be a sit- down meal at 2 p.m. Sandwich meat, cheese, rolls and beverages will be provided. Take a dish to share. There will be games and an auction.

[naviga:h3]Patriotic cantata set for July 4[/naviga:h3]

MOUNT CHESTNUT — ACTS (Adoring Christ Through Song) Choir and Orchestra will present a patriotic cantata, “Sweet Land of Liberty” by Randy Vader, Jay Rouse and Camp Kirkland, under the direction of Kate Cotter, at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Mount Chestnut Presbyterian Church, 727 W. Old Route 422.
