Moniteau had two golfers place among the top five in the first KSAC Mega golf tournament of the season Thursday at Cross Creek Resort.

Jacob Felsing finished fifth with a 41 in the 9-hole tourney. Dawson Wallace claimed fifth with a 43.

The Warriors finished third as a team with a 233, 22 strokes behind champion Clarion. Devon Lauer and Kameron Kerle both shot a 39 to share medalist honors.

Moniteau's Chason Rugg was 15th overall with a 48.

Karns City finished sixth in the tournament while A-C Valley/Union took seventh place. Chloe Fritch led the Gremlins with a 50, good for 16th overall.

Archer Ferris carded a 56 to lead A-C Valley/Union.

Freeport 184, Penn Hills 226 — In a 4-on-4 scrimmage Friday, Snow carded a 44 to lead the Yellowjsckets. Tanner Smith had a 45, Covey 47 and Matt Ziembicki-Reedy 48.

Armstrong 214, Knoch 223 — Cory Voltz shot a 38 for the Knights in this defeat. Knoch plays Butler Tuesday at Butler Country Club.
