Butler Wesleyan Academy, 590 Protzman Road, will have an auction starting at 6 p.m. Friday in the school.

Items to be auctioned include antique furniture, theme baskets, home-baked goods, toys and other items. Purchases are cash only. Food will be available for purchase.

Donations for the auction may be dropped off at the school from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday and Friday.

BRADY TWP — Here are the latest programs slated at Jennings Environmental Education Center, 2952 Prospect Road:

9 a.m. to noon Oct. 22 “Homeschool CSI: Macro Mayhem.” This is another in a series of citizen science investigations for home schooling families. Registration and prepayment are required by Oct. 22 by visiting events.dcnr.pa.gov or phone 724-794-6011.

2 to 4:30 p.m. Oct. 27 “Art and Nature. Smart Phone Photography.” Join Jennings staff and guest photographer Eric Mastrangelo to learn techniques to get the shots you want using your smart phone. 2 p.m. Nov. 4 “Climate Conversations: When the Snow Stuck and a Tick was Just the Sound of a Clock.” Share your stories of nature’s past, reflect on the lessons we have learned and discover and plan ways we can use this knowledge to protect or create a better future. This program is free and no registration is required.
