HARRISVILLE — The Harrisville American Legion Auxiliary 852 will have a cookie sale from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Dec. 15 at the American Legion post, 227 W. Prairie St.

This sale is open to the public. Enter through the door on Prairie Street.

More than 15 types of cookies will be available.

SLIPPERY ROCK — The Slippery Rock Community Library, 465 N. Main St., will host a holiday book extravaganza from 4 to 9 p.m. Dec. 7 and from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Dec. 8.

The event will feature new books and more, light refreshments and free gift wrapping.
