The ACTS (Adoring Christ Thru Song) Choir and Orchestra will present their performances at 7 p.m. Dec. 8 at Mt. Chestnut Presbyterian Church, 719 West Old Route 422, and at the new time of 3 p.m. Dec. 9 at Center Presbyterian Church, 211 Center St., Slippery Rock.

In the cantata “Shout the Good News!,” composer Lloyd Larson has created a celebration of Jesus’ birth and of those messengers who helped God’s purposes to be fulfilled. New material is blended with beloved carols.

The ACTS musical ensemble includes a choir, orchestra and drama group that perform a varied repertoire including hymns (both traditional and praise worship) seasonal cantata, patriotic and classical music.

HARRISVILLE — The Harrisville Fire Hall will host “Breakfast with Santa” from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Dec. 8. In addition to pancakes and sausage, children can have their pictures taken with Santa Claus.

PROSPECT — “Frozen’s” Princess Elsa will visit the Presbyterian Church of Prospect, 115 Church St., at 6 p.m. Dec. 13.

Her visit will include unlimited photos and hugs, singing, dancing, crafts and a light snack. It is a free event for the whole family.
