The Butler wrestling team finished its dual match regular season at 20-4, defeating McGuffey 72-4 and West Allegheny 45-18 Saturday.

The Golden Tornado won 13 of 14 matches against McGuffey, 10 of 14 vs. West Allegheny.

Butler will compete in the individual section tournament Saturday at Fox Chapel.

Mars and Summit Academy each had four wrestlers place among the top four in their respective weight classes at the Section 3 tournament over the weekend.For the Planets, Ronnie Dakan (25-4) was second at 160 pounds and Cameron Cress (18-11) was second at heavyweight. Chris Boggs (21-8) was third at 189 while Shane Smith (20-10) was fourth at 171.For the Knights, Kenneth Turner (18-6) was third at 112. Fourth-place finishers were Aaron Camp (6-5) at 119, Devon Bickel (15-9) at 130 and Niran Williams (16-7) at 189.

Both Butler teams lost close meets against Fox Chapel Monday night.The Tornado girls fell 95-88, while the boys were defeated 94-91. Complete results were not available.

<B>Butler 8, Hampton 0 — </B>Tommy Mitch got the shutout in goal in the Golden Tornado's playoff opener. Charlie Beers scored four goals and Michael Ocvirk had two goals and two assists.A.J. Jamison had a goal and an assist and Robbie Barnhart had a goal.<B>Montour 5, Butler 4 — </B>The Tornado dropped the first of a best-of-three series in overtime. Barnhart, Matt Steighner, Ocvirk and Beers each scored for Butler. The teams meet again at 8:30 p.m. Saturday.<B>Seneca Valley I 5, Baldwin 2 — </B>Zach Hissam scored twice for the Raiders in this playoff win. Dustin Soller, Jamie Glockner and Nick Verona also scored. Joe Lang was the winning goaltender.<B>Seneca Valley II 5, Moon 2 — </B>Casey Chambers and Shawn Johnston scored twice each for the Raiders. Jaryd Herbert added one goal. Cody Neal had three assists.
