BRADY TWP — Jennings Environmental Education Center, 2951 Prospect Road, has the first in a new series of programs designed for active senior citizens from 9 a.m. to noon Tuesday.

Investigate the two distinct ecosystems at Jennings, the forest and the prairie. Examine soils, plants, and animals in each area to discover the uniqueness and similarities between the two. The Silver Sciences Series is designed for active seniors who enjoy outdoor activities and wish to expand their science and nature knowledge. Activities will be adapted to lessen the need to stoop and bend but will require the ability to walk over uneven surfaces for distances of up to half mile at a time. All equipment will be provided.

PENN TWP — The Penn Township Volunteer Fire Department will have its 19th mega cruise beginning at 1 p.m. July 6 at the Pittsburgh-Butler Regional Airport, 473 Airport Road.In addition to cars, trucks, motorcycles, tractors and airplanes on show, there will be music, food, vendors, karaoke, auctions and fireworks beginning at 9:45 p.m.
