Shauna Walker and Shaylee Ianno each pitched two-hit, five-inning shutouts as the Slippery Rock University softball team blanked Salem (W.Va.) International 9-0 and 22-0 in a nonconference doubleheader Monday.

Kristen Brant (Knoch) smacked a home run, and Whitney Warmus had two doubles and two RBI in the first game.

In Game Two, SRU put up a 12-spot in the opening frame, while Jenna Geibel (Butler) had a three-run homer in the second.

Brant finished the night going 6-for-8 with six runs scored and five RBI. Geibel had seven RBI.

Ariel Knox had four goals, and Emma Van Denburg had three goals and two assists as SRU withstood a late rally by Edinboro in a 14-12 victory Monday.Amy Halls added two goals and one assist and Katie Roof one goal and two assists for The Rock (6-7, 2-5 PSAC West).
