Another day, another dominating performance for the Butler boys tennis team.

The Golden Tornado swept Fox Chapel 5-0 Thursday to advance to the WPIAL Team Championship against Shady Side Academy at 1 p.m. today at Hampton.

Butler lost only one set the entire afternoon against Fox Chapel.

No matter what happens today against Shady Side Academy, Butler is in the PIAA Championships, which begin Tuesday and conclude with the semifinals and finals May 22 in Hershey.

Liz Manuel scored five goals, and Amanda Huey and Brittney Miller each added three more as Butler took down Knoch 15-10.Katey Imhoff scored five goals for Knoch in the loss.

Spencer Koehring had 12 kills, but Butler fell to Seneca Valley 25-20, 17-25, 19-25, 18-25.Anthony Lewis had 18 passes and Dustin DeFrancisis had 20 assists for the Golden Tornado.No individual stats were available for Seneca Valley.
