Slippery Rock shines at Invite

Sam Lotz won the triple jump with an effort of 42 feet, 1 inch and the Slippery Rock 3,200-meter relay also placed first with a time of 8 minutes, 29.16 seconds to lead the Rockets at the Mercer County Iniviational Saturday.

Halie Sefton won the pole vault at 10-6 for the Slippery Rock girls at the invitational, which is a tune-up for the District 10 championships.

The Rocket boys will compete in the Class AAA championships Wedneday at Harbor Creek while the girls will be in action in the Class AA event Saturday at Hickory.
