Cole Smith, Allan Eaton and Blayne McGuirk had two hits apiece, the latter with a home run, to power A-C Valley to a 13-7 victory over Clarion in a District 9 Class A baseball quarterfinal Thursday.

The Falcons scored seven runs in the top of the seventh inning to advance to the semifinals Tuesday, which will be played at St. Marys against an opponent to be determined.

Cole Smith scored three runs while McGuirk, Matt Bartley and Joe Kaufman scored two runs each for the Falcons.
