Meredith Profeta and David Riebschleger, both of Jenkintown were united in marriage at 11 a.m. July 10 at the Basilica of the Sacred Heart of the campus of the University of Notre Dame in South Bend, Ind. The Rev. Robert Dowd officiated. A reception was held at the Blue Heron at Blackthorn.

The bride is the daughter of Vince and Jane Profeta of Cranberry Township. Parents of the bridegroom are David and Joanne Riebschleger of Houghton Lake, Mich.

The honor attendant was Laura Riebschleger of Houghton Lake. Bridesmaids included Jill Marshall of Bristow, Va.; Erin McGuire of Cleveland; and Jessica Summers of Philadelphia. The flower girl was Rebecca Gerkin of Davison, Mich.

Performing the duties of best man was Michael Profeta of Cranberry Township. Groomsmen included Josh Earl of Chicago; Pete McCall of South Bend, Ind.; and David Laur of Houghton Lake. The ring bearer was Brett Riebschleger of Rockford, Mich.

The bride graduated in 1997 from Seneca Valley High School and in 2001 from the University of Notre Dame. She is a fourth-year medical student at the Drexel University College of Medicine.

The bridegroom graduated in 1997 from Houghton Lake High School and in 2001 from the University of Notre Dame. He works for Target RX in Horsham.

After honeymooning in Puerto Rico, the couple is making their home in Jenkintown.
