Valerie Christley of Prospect and Kevin Bres of Renfrew exchanged wedding vows at 4:30 p.m. Nov. 20 at Mount Chestnut Presbyterian Church in Butler. The Rev. Jeff Curtis officiated. The newlyweds greeted guests during a reception at The Atrium in Prospect.

The bride is the daughter of Ralph Christley of Prospect. Parents of the bridegroom are Richard and Eileen Bres of Bethel Park.

The matron of honor was Melony Downing of Butler. Bridesmaids were Marcia Miller of Butler and Debbie Shaytar of Frisco, Texas. Junior bridesmaid was Sarah Downing of Butler. The flower girl was McKenzie Shaytar of Frisco.

Performing the duties of best man was Jim Low of Butler. Ushers were Ryan Carr of Pittsburgh and Steve Shaytar of Frisco. The ring bearer was Ryan Tomaszewski of Oakdale.

The bride is a 1993 graduate of Slippery Rock High School, and earned degrees in 1995 and 2002 from Butler County Community College. She works at Butler Memorial Hospital.

The bridegroom is a 1984 graduate of Seton-LaSalle High School. He works for CRST Flatbed Regional in Carnegie.

The couple is making their home in Prospect following a honeymoon in Nashville, Tenn.
