LeVangie, Morrison
Melissa LeVangie of New Castle and Eric Morrison of Karns City exchanged wedding vows at 2 p.m. Oct. 9 at Calvary Independent Church in New Castle. The Rev. Charles Fombelle officiated. A reception was held at the Scottish Rite Cathedral in New Castle.
The bride is the daughter of Carolyn LeVangie of New Castle. Parents of the bridegroom are Mr. and Mrs. Edson Morrison of Karns City.
The bride was presented for marriage by her uncle, Scott Slack of New Castle.
The honor attendant was the bride's sister, Jennifer Hamilton of Charlotte, N.C. Bridesmaids included Stacy Ritter, Jaclyn Kobialka and Mandy Hunt, all of New Castle, Leslie Mylan of Fredericktown, and Jessica Blackburn of Pittsburgh. The junior bridesmaid was Brittany Edgerton of New Castle. The flower girl was Logan Schnabl of Austintown, Ohio.
Performing the duties of best man was the bridegroom's brother, John Morrison of Karns City. Ushers were Garrett Grindle and Kevin Yeager, both of West Sunbury, Anthony Silverio of Louisville, Ohio, Alan Pfeifer of Evans City and Christopher Christian of Mesquite, Texas. The junior groomsman was Daniel Hamilton of Charlotte, N.C. The ring bearer was Luke Hamilton.
The bride is a 1999 graduate of New Castle High School and a 2003 graduate of the University of Pittsburgh. She works for the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City, Iowa.
The bridegroom graduated in 2000 from Moniteau High School and in 2004 from Grove City College. He is attending graduate school at the Palmer College of Chiropractic.
Following a honeymoon in Aruba, the newlyweds are making their home in Davenport, Iowa.
