Hillwig, O'Donnell
Tara Hillwig and Derek O'Donnell, both of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., were united in marriage at 3:30 p.m. Dec. 18 at St. Wendelin Roman Catholic Church in Butler. The Rev. Robert Meyer officiated. A reception followed at the Lenape Heights Golf Course in Ford City.
The bride is the daughter of David and Cynthia Hillwig of Karns City. Parents of the bridegroom are Dennis and Doris O'Donnell of Chicora.
The maid of honor was Erica Hillwig of Monroeville. Bridesmaids included Ashley Rumbaugh of Hilliards, Rebecka Hiles of Karns City, Maureen Yablonsky of Pittsburgh and Marilyn Kiester of Charlotte, N.C. The flower girl was Abigail Hiles of Karns City.
Serving the bridegroom as best man was Dayne O'Donnell of Chicora. Ushers included Matt Craig of Buffalo, N.Y.; Steve Rodgers of Cranberry Township; and Jarrod O'Donnell and Chad Hershberger, both of Chicora. The ring bearer was Madden McMillen of Chicora.
The bride graduated from Karns City High School in 1998 and from Clarion University from 2002, where she received a bachelor's degree. She is currently a student at Nova Southeastern University, where she is working towards a doctoral degree in audiology.
The groom is a 1998 graduate of Karns City High School and a 2002 graduate of Grove City College, where he received a bachelor's degree. He is currently pursuing a doctoral degree in optometry at Nova Southeastern University.
Following a wedding trip to the Poconos, the couple is residing in Fort Lauderdale.
