Sharon too much for Slippery Rock

Jason Ondic rushed for 123 yards and two touchdowns, and threw for 119 yards and another score Friday night as Sharon overpowered Slippery Rock for a 56-8 football victory.

The Tigers built a 42-8 lead by halftime and had a total yardage advantage of 523-99.

Chris Thomas scored the lone touchdown for the Rockets (0-6) on a 2-yard run in the second quarter.

Marc Martell had 119 rushing yards and two touchdowns for Sharon.

Corey Morabito tied for medalist honors with a 72 as Butler finished third in the 35-team Tam O'Shanter Invitational.Morabito lost on the third playoff hole and finished in second place overall out of 140 golfers.Butler's team score was 312 as Phil Shultz carded an 82, Jeremy Gohn an 83 and David Paterno an 84.
