The Knoch and Freeport girls soccer teams played to a 0-0 tie in the first 90 minutes of Monday's game.

Then the rain and lightning came.

The Knights (8-4, 8-3) and Yellowjackets (8-4-1, 6-4-1) will conclude the match with the overtime period(s) next Tuesday at Freeport High.

Mars 6, Deer Lakes 0 — Kristen Check tallied three goals, and Dana Wonderly, Mani Brueckner and Alessa Conner scored one each for the Planets (16-0).

Karns City 3, Keystone 0 — Breann Wood scored two goals and Emily Olszak had a goal and two assists as the Gremlins (10-3) outlasted Keystone and lightning delays to win on senior night.

Butler match canceled — The Golden Tornado clash against Latrobe was canceled because of lightning and will not be rescheduled.

<B>Karns City 9, Cranberry 0 —</B> Christian Crosbie and Justin Ryan each recorded two goals to lead the Gremlins Saturday.Derek Sadowski, Eric Easley, Brady Bandura, Ethan McGarvey and Evan McGarvey also scored for Karns City (11-3-1), which picked up a 1-0 win Friday against Redbank Valley on a goal by Ryan.
