Emily Schumacher scored the winning goal with seven minutes remaining in the game as Karns City edged Freeport 3-2 in high school girls soccer action Saturday.

Schumacher scored two goals in the contest for the Gremlins (11-4). Alyssa King scored the other goal.

Devon Malarik and Dava Jack each scored goals for Freeport (8-6-2).
