Bird, Shoup
Laura Bird of Indiana, Pa., and John Shoup of Butler exchanged wedding vows at 2 p.m. Oct. 9 at St. Bernard of Clairvaux Roman Catholic Church in Indiana. The Rev. Doug Dorula officiated. The couple greeted guests during a reception at the Novosel Civic Center.
The bride is the daughter of William and Marianne Bird of Indiana. Parents of the bridegroom are Robert and Marilyn Shoup of Butler.
The honor attendant was Kathleen Bird of Indiana. Bridesmaids were Maria Bird and Kristin Hurd, both of Indiana; Holly Brown of Reston, Va.; and Jill Barnhart of New York City. The flower girl was Madison Kish of Grove City.
Performing the duties of best man was Matthew Hagaman of Butler. Ushers were Jason McMillen of State College; Jason Edmiston and Rick Za

hnak, both of Butler, and Floyd Kish of Grove City.
The bride graduated in 1998 from Indiana High School and in 2004 from Indiana (Pa.) University. She works at American Eagle Outfitters in Butler.
The bridegroom graduated in 1996 from Butler High School and in 2000 from Butler County Community College. He works for II-VI in Saxonburg.
Following a honeymoon cruise through the Western Caribbean, the couple is making their home in Butler.
