Shanor, Vance

Cathy Shanor and Jared Vance, both of Butler were united in marriage at 2:30 p.m. May 7 at Saint Andrew's United Presbyterian Church in Butler. The Rev. Jim Mohr officiated. A reception followed at the Butler Days Inn.

The bride is the daughter of Paul and Peggy Shanor of Butler. Parents of the bridegroom are James and Bonnie Vance of Sarah Ann, W.Va.

The honor attendant was Paula Shanor of Butler. Bridesmaids included DeLynn Cunningham of Butler; Amy Sedwick of Falls Church, Va.; Jessica Gregory of Prospect; and Jill Grise of Amherst, N.Y. The flower girl was Annie Perschke of Saxonburg.

Serving the bridegroom as best man was Mickey Quince of Masontown, W.Va. Ushers included Raymond Chafin of Atlanta; Micah McCoy of Mud Fork, W.Va.; Jeremy Wilson of Fairmont, W.Va.; and Jonathan Click of Cow Creek, W.Va. The ring bearer was Brandon Fleeger of Butler.

The bride is a 1998 graduate of Butler High School and a 2004 graduate of the West Virginia University School of Pharmacy. She works at Eckerd Drug in Butler.

The groom graduated in 1998 from Logan Senior High School and in 2003 from West Virginia University. He is currently pursuing a master's degree at Slippery Rock University.

Following a honeymoon trip to the Bahamas, the couple is making their home in Butler.
