Union defender Delani Priester pressures Amanda Sloan of Moniteau Monday in the Damsels' 47-45 win over the Warriors.

Mariah Winchester posted 16 points — including nine-of-10 from the free throw line — and had nine rebounds and five assists to pace the Union girls basketball team (11-2, 8-1) in a 47-45 win over Moniteau Monday.

Amanda Sloan scored 19 points for the Warriors (6-7, 4-5).

Butler won the 12-team Clearfield Duals Saturday, defeating Greenville 41-24, Port Allegany 54-15, Curwensville 75-6 and General McLane 44-21.The Golden Tornado edged Clearfield, 33-27, in the championship match, winning seven of the final eight weight classes. Dillon Weston, Eric Tuck, Dakoda Collins, Matt Pribis, Cole Baxter and Robert Punchur all won before heavyweight Adam Steiner clinched the victory with a 3-0 decision.Butler (22-2) hosts Hopewell, North Allegheny and Hampton in the Section 3 Thampionships at 6 p.m. Wednesday in the high school gym.
