Henricks, Bortz
Malynda Henricks of Slippery Rock and William Bortz Jr. of Butler were united in marriage at 3:30 p.m. June 18 at Cheeseman's Barn in Portersville. The Rev. James Lewis officiated. A reception followed at the barn.
The bride is the daughter of Robert and Sandra Henricks of Slippery Rock. Parents of the bridegroom are William and Martha Bortz of Butler.
The matron of honor was Rebekah Warren of Slippery Rock and the maid of honor was Erin Bozik of Portersville. Bridesmaids included Jody Baxter and Jayde Swayne, both of Harmony; Kari Vandervort of East Butler; and Tracie Bortz of Butler. The flower girl was Lexie Baxter of Harmony.
Performing the duties of best man was Mike Cratty of Portersville. Ushers included Mike Roman of Portersville, Robert Warren of Slippery Rock, Rob Vandervort of East Butler and B.G. Hoffman and Matt Craig, both of Butler. The ring bearer was Robby Warren of Slippery Rock.
The bride graduated in 1997 from Slippery Rock High School. She works for DSC Financial in Portersville.
The groom also graduated in 1997 from Slippery Rock High School. He works for Armstrong Utilities in Butler.
Following a honeymoon trip to Presque Isle in Erie, the couple is making their home in Prospect.
