Deemer, Bechtold
Jessica Deemer and Andrew Bechtold, both of Ocean City, N.J., exchanged wedding vows at 3:30 p.m. May 21 at Christ Community United Methodist Church in Butler. The Revs. Oden Warman and Ron Lee, the bridegroom's uncle, officiated. A reception followed at the Butler Country Club.
The bride is the daughter of William and Yolanda Deemer of Butler. Parents of the bridegroom are Austin Bechtold Jr. of Downingtown and Diane Bechtold of Ocean City.
The honor attendant was Amy Stagno of Brooklyn, N.Y. Bridesmaids were the bride's sister, Karen Geissler of Ellicott City, Md.; the bridegroom's sister, Leah Bechtold of Ocean City; Kathryn Parry of Bloomsburg; and Vanessa Osborne of Cleveland. The flower girl was Paige Theiss of Bloomsburg.
Serving the bridegroom as best man was Dan Wheaton of Ocean City, N.J. Ushers were the bride's brother, Luke Deemer of Butler; Franco Battaglia of Chadds Ford; Jim Owens of Boston; and Joe Fitzsimons of Durham, N.C. The ring bearer was Joey Deemer of Connoquenessing.
The bride graduated in 1998 from Butler High School and in 2002 from Slippery Rock University, earning a bachelor of arts degree in English literature. She works for Terrick Enterprises Inc. in Ocean City.
The bridegroom graduated in 1996 from Ocean City High School and in 2001 from Roger Williams University, earning a bachelor of arts degree in architecture. He works for George Wray Thomas III, P.E., R.A. in Somers Point, N.J.
Following a Mediterranean cruise honeymoon, the couple is making their home in Ocean City.
