SAXONBURG — Saxonburg Memorial Presbyterian Church, 100 W. Main St., will have its annual fall festival from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Oct. 13.

It will feature a flea market, auction, food, quilted items, homemade apple butter and baked goods.

[naviga:h3]Run raises funds for foundation[/naviga:h3]

The Tuff Tornado run is noon to 4 p.m. Oct. 21 at Alameda Park.

The event, which will take place rain or shine, is a family fun run and obstacle course for all ages.

There will also be a raffle, food trucks, vendors and Star Wars characters.

Proceeds will benefit the Kids’ Weekend Backpack Program and creative teaching grants and technology.

MARS — The following events are scheduled at Mars Public Library, 107 Grand Ave.:

5:30 p.m. Thursday “Experience Essential Oils 101” presented by Erika Weir from Young Living. Learn about the history of essential oils, how they can positively affect your life, how they can be used to rid your homes of toxic cleaners and much more. This event is free.

6 p.m. Oct. 18 “Western Pennsylvania Paranormal Hunters LLC.” WPPH is a Pittsburgh paranormal investigation team, having performed hundreds of investigations over the past seven years.

10:30 a.m. Oct. 20 “STEAM Saturdays — Explore Balance.” The program lasts 60 to 90 minutes and is geared toward a K-4 audience. Explore how balance works with activities.
