Valerie and Dennis Hogan

Dennis and Valerie Hogan of Butler will celebrate 50 years of marriage this week with a family dinner at the Foxburg Inn in Foxburg and by renewing their vows. They also will celebrate with a family week at Myrtle Beach, S.C., this summer.

Hogan married the former Valerie Sutton on May 1, 1965, at March Air Force Base Chapel in Riverside, Calif.

They have three children, Keith Hogan of Johnstown, Christine Glaser of Butler and Brian Hogan of Greensburg.

They also have seven grandchildren.

Hogan retired from AK Steel.

Mrs. Hogan works as a registered nurse.

The Hogans are members of the First United Methodist Church.
