Zechman 50th anniversary

Paul and Judy Zechman

Paul and Judy Zechman of Butler celebrated 50 years of marriage with a family dinner given by their daughters at the Le Mont Restaurant in Pittsburgh.

Zechman married the former Judith Groft on Aug. 21, 1965, at St. Paul’s United Church of Christ in Westminster, Md.

They have two children, Susan (Robert) Hagarty of Akron, Ohio, and Amy (Terry) Young of Butler.

They also have six grandchildren.

Zechman served in the U.S. Navy attached to the U.S. Marine Corps as a field medical technician.

He retired from the Pennsylvania State Police and Pennsylvania American Water.

Zechman is a member of the Rotary Club of Butler, the Retired State Police Association of Pennsylvania, Indiana-Franklin Masonic Lodge 313, Jaffa Shrine, Coudersport Consistory, VFW Country Club of Indiana County and American Legion Post 117 of Butler.

He enjoys playing golf and attending the sports activities of his grandchildren.

Mrs. Zechman was an elementary teacher in Bethel Park, Indiana, Marion Center and Butler.

She is a member of GFWC Intermediate League of Butler. She enjoys playing bridge and spending time with her grandchildren.

The Zechmans are members of First United Methodist Church in Butler.
