A-C Valley girls get past Union

A-C Valley's girls basketball team featured four players scoring in double digits in a 60-47 home victory over Union Thursday night.

“We've been working on a lot of Xs and Os stuff,” said A-C Valley coach Dave Sherman. “We were pretty shaky with it against Redbank Valley (a 45-31 win on Tuesday), but we played pretty well tonight.”

Junior forward Meredith Snyder led the way for A-C Valley with 19 points while Emily Quaill (15), Kelsey Boocks (14) and Racheal Viertel (10) also had strong games.

Union led 16-10 after one quarter, but the Falcons went on a 16-4 second-quarter run to take a 26-20 lead by halftime.
